Job description
To reinforce our Signal Acquisition department at our Office in Glattbrugg, Switzerland, we are looking for a
(Junior) Streaming Media Engineer (80-100%)
In your new role you will support our production managers, who perform onsite live webcasting events.
Your main task is to receive audio/video signals via different routes (satellite, ISDN, IP, etc), encode them for the webcasts, and make them available as Live / OnDemand streams.
In addition you are responsible for the configuration and maintenance of hardware, operating systems and devices.

Desired Skills and Experience
Flexibility and reliability are essential. Even in hectic moments, you keep a cool head. You’re interested in streaming media, and digital audio/video is a world which you gladly want to dive into.
Ideally, you will have a background in a PC support environment, and already have some experience in similar areas in which you have acquired excellent user-skills and technical basic knowledge regarding hardware, operating systems and networks.
A good knowledge of English (spoken and written) is a must. German and/or Spanish language skills would be advantageous.
If you are from a country other than Switzerland or EU, you already have a working permit in Switzerland.
